About the plant:

Homalomena from the Araceae family is a flowering tropical plant from South America and the Southwest Pacific. The name probably comes from a mistranslated Malay folk name, translated as homalos, meaning flat, and mene = moon. The plant consists of large burdock leaves on red-brown stems.
