About the plant:
Monstera skvostná (beautiful) or Monstera Albo variegata is a climbing plant from the Aronaceae family. It is variegated very rare variety the famous Deliciosa Monsters. It comes from the tropical forests of Central and South America. In its homeland, it grows up to 12 meters as a creeper, crawls along the ground and along trunks and sends out many aerial roots. It is most typically used as an ornamental plant, it can also be grown for its fruits - they are called ceriman. They are green in color, cylindrical in shape and resemble green pine cones. They contain a sweet pulp and a lot of vitamin C, and are sold as table fruit in indigenous markets.

Indoor monstera is characterized by its carved leaves. These typical holes are only formed during the life of the plant, the small leaves are not perforated. In good conditions, this room plant can grow to a height of 3 meters if not more, a single leaf can be up to half a meter at maturity. The degree of variegation depends mainly on the light conditions you give the plant.

Light

The plant needs a lot of light to grow healthy and color its leaves. The plant thrives well in a large amount of bright light and tolerates sunlight well, but avoid direct sunlight during the summer months. The ideal location is the south and west side.

Watering

Water in 1-2 weeks, monstera prefers wetter soil. However, let the upper part of the substrate dry out between waterings. Overwatering could cause rotting of the roots.

Humidity

It is a tropical plant and requires a lot of air humidity. However, we do not recommend misting the leaves. Variegated plants do not need this and then brown spots are formed on the leaves.

Propagation

Stem cuttings, ideally in spring. It is enough to cut the leaf together with the aerial root and let it take root, preferably in water, but it is also possible in soil.

Common problems

Overwatering: Too much water can cause root rot, yellowing and leaf drop. Browning of leaf edges, curling: Cold and draft. Withered leaves, browning of their tips: Too dry air. Brown spots on leaves: Burn of leaves from direct sunlight. Weevils (in case of excess light), worms, aphids, thrips: We deal with special sprays.

Luxusní monstera ❤️

Trochu jsem se bála, že mi po cestě zmrzne, ale došla v pořádku a docela rychle... Moc pěkná, docela pěkně zabalená. Jen kytička, která byla jako dárek k objednávce, přišla polámaná, ale věřím, že se probere a obrazí.
Co se týče monstery, zdála se mi hodně mokrá (zalitá), ale věřím, že to byl záměr.... Snad mi holka vydrží 😉

Monstera mi přišla krásná, ve skvělé kondici, pěkně zabalená. Jen už byla, poměrně, zima (okolo nuly) a okolo listů nebylo žádné zateplení či obal. Ale, rostlinka to zvládla a je krásná.

Delivery to the address by courier

We ship live plant orders Monday through Thursday. If we cannot prepare your shipment within these days, we will send it again the following week. We want to avoid plants being left in the depot for long periods of time, which is especially important during the winter months when cold conditions can harm them.

Individual shipping prices:

1. DPD

A DPD courier will contact you the day before delivery with the exact delivery date. If you would like to redirect the shipment to the collection point, you can make arrangements directly with the carrier. In the winter months, however, we strongly do not recommend redirecting to the delivery boxes, as low temperatures can damage the plants. In this case, we cannot be held responsible for the condition of the plants and complaints will not be accepted.

The price of delivery of plants and accessories throughout the Czech Republic is 149 CZK, to Slovakia 8 €.

2. Post office

You can have the selected goods delivered to the delivery point of Zásilkovna in the Czech Republic for CZK 89 or in Slovakia for €5. All you have to do is select the delivery option "Delivery" when ordering. After completing your order, you will be able to use the map to select a specific delivery location.

Keep in mind that the Post Office has restrictions on package dimensions and weight. If you don't see the Post Office option, you probably have bulky products in your cart and you need to choose another carrier. In the winter months, we strongly do not recommend choosing delivery to Z-Boxes due to the risk of the plants dying in the cold. In this case, we are not responsible for the condition of the plants and the claim will not be accepted.

3. Personal collection

You can pick up your order for free in person at the address Křižíkova 55/65, Prague 8. Once your order is ready, we will send you an e-mail with information about the possibility of picking it up. If you do not collect the order within 3 working days , or if you do not inform us of another collection date, it will be automatically cancelled .

4. Express delivery by courier around Prague

Do you need an order as soon as possible? We also offer the goods on Wolt . Wolt delivers these orders within an hour.

5. Z-boxes, Alzaboxes, PPL boxes and others.

In case of payment by cash on delivery, orders for collection boxes are automatically redirected to the nearest collection point.
