About the plant :

Guzmania from the Bromeliad genus are beautiful and colorful plants native to the tropical rainforests of South and Central America. Guzmania Calypso will enchant you with its vivid green leaves and characteristic flower. This flower is known for its bright red bracts that spread like petals and create a stunning contrast with the dark green leaves. A yellow or orange stick stands out in the center of the flower, which gives the plant an exotic look.
The flower on the plant can last 3-6 months.

Every plant is different, just like us humans. Please allow for a possible deviation in appearance compared to the product photo.

Light

The plant needs enough diffused light for healthy growth. Avoid direct sunlight, which could burn the leaves. The ideal site is the north and east side near the windows or the west side with fading weak sunlight.

Watering

We water 1-2 times a week. Always after the substrate has dried.

Humidity

The plant is comfortable with increasing the air humidity by dewing, but we never mist the flowers! The leaves can be wiped from dust with a damp cloth.

Propagation

The best method of propagation is to separate a small plant growing from the underground rhizomes of a large Guzmania. If the shoot has few roots, let it take root in water for a while before transplanting it into the soil.

Common problems

Overwatering and cold: Too much water or even drafts can cause leaves to turn yellow and drop. Direct light: Direct light can burn and spot the leaves. Low air humidity or insufficient watering: The plant reacts to low air humidity or insufficient watering by drying the tips of the leaves.

How does DMP delivery work?

All plants and some accessories on our e-shop are sent directly from the grower in Holland. We want them to be at your place as soon as possible and not spend time going around different warehouses and stores. We ship part of our own products marked with the Made in DMP label directly from our warehouse in Prague.
Therefore, it may happen that you will be charged a higher price for shipping, because you have things in the basket both from the grower and from our own production.
If you have products worth CZK 2,000 (For SK 82 EUR) or more in your basket, you will always have FREE shipping!

For some products, such as a book or a physical gift voucher, you can choose the pick-up option in our brick-and-mortar store.

Personal collection is not possible for most goods, because the store does not offer the same range of plants and accessories as in the e-shop. If you are not sure about the choice, stop by in person and together we will choose or order the right one!

Individual shipping prices:

1. DPD

The DPD courier will contact you the day before delivery regarding the exact delivery date. If you want to deliver the shipment to the delivery point , you can make arrangements with the carrier. The price for delivery of plants and selected accessories from NL to the Czech Republic is CZK 149 and to Slovakia EUR 8.
The price for delivery of our products from the warehouse in Prague is CZK 99 within the Czech Republic . Delivery from our warehouse to Slovakia is for the same price - EUR 8.

2. Post office

You can have the selected goods delivered to the delivery point of Zásilkovna in the Czech Republic for 89,- or to the delivery point of Zásilkovna in SK for € 5 . Simply select the delivery method: Zásilkovna * You select the Zásilkovna branch after completing the order.

After creating an order, you can use the map to select a pick-up point.
The shipping company is limited by the size or weight of the package.
If you cannot choose Zásilkovna, you most likely have bulky products in your basket and you need to choose another carrier.

3. Personal collection
