About the plant:
Ficus elastica Shivereana belongs to the rare species of these rubber trees. Its coloring is among the most varied not only among ficuses, but also among other plants. Each leaf is unique thanks to its variegation, and the better conditions you give it, the more interesting it will be.
Ficuses can be shaped and thickened by pruning if the stem is woody.

Light

The plant needs a lot of light to grow healthy and color its leaves. Give the plant plenty of bright light without sunlight that could burn the leaves. The ideal location is the north and east side.

Watering

Water regularly, but always wait for at least the top layer of the substrate to dry. Ficuses do not tolerate overflowing and standing in water. During the winter, water less and beware of cold water, rather use water at room temperature.

Humidity

The plant likes dew on the leaves, which should be frequently wiped from dust with a damp cloth.

Propagation

The easiest way to propagate the plant is by stem cuttings - preferably using a cut top part of the plant with 2-3 leaves, which you can root in water or soil.

Common problems

Overwatering and overwatering, root rot: Most often, you can recognize a ficus that has been overwatered by the fact that its leaves begin to fall, which can also turn yellow or develop brown spots. Draft: Ficuses are sensitive to temperature changes. You can tell that the plant has suffered a temperature shock by the leaves, which turn brown and fall off. Change of environment: Ficuses do not tolerate changes (e.g. habitat) well. Therefore, always think carefully about where and when you will move the ficus. The plant reacts to new, unsuitable conditions by shedding leaves. Burns of the leaves: Beware of direct light, which can burn the leaves of the plant, causing brown spots to form on them.

How does DMP delivery work?

All plants and some accessories on our e-shop are sent directly from the grower in Holland. We want them to be at your place as soon as possible and not spend time going around different warehouses and stores. We ship part of our own products marked with the Made in DMP label directly from our warehouse in Prague.
Therefore, it may happen that you will be charged a higher price for shipping, because you have things in the basket both from the grower and from our own production.
If you have products worth CZK 2,000 (For SK 82 EUR) or more in your basket, you will always have FREE shipping!

For some products, such as a book or a physical gift voucher, you can choose the pick-up option in our brick-and-mortar store.

Personal collection is not possible for most goods, because the store does not offer the same range of plants and accessories as in the e-shop. If you are not sure about the choice, stop by in person and together we will choose or order the right one!

Individual shipping prices:

1. DPD

The DPD courier will contact you the day before delivery regarding the exact delivery date. If you want to deliver the shipment to the delivery point , you can make arrangements with the carrier. The price for delivery of plants and selected accessories from NL to the Czech Republic is CZK 149 and to Slovakia EUR 8.
The price for delivery of our products from the warehouse in Prague is CZK 99 within the Czech Republic . Delivery from our warehouse to Slovakia is for the same price - EUR 8.

2. Post office

You can have the selected goods delivered to the delivery point of Zásilkovna in the Czech Republic for 89,- or to the delivery point of Zásilkovna in SK for € 5 . Simply select the delivery method: Zásilkovna * You select the Zásilkovna branch after completing the order.

After creating an order, you can use the map to select a pick-up point.
The shipping company is limited by the size or weight of the package.
If you cannot choose Zásilkovna, you most likely have bulky products in your basket and you need to choose another carrier.

3. Personal collection
