About the plant:
Aspidistra (Czech Asparagus ) from the Asparagaceae family is an extremely hardy and undemanding plant suitable for heavily shaded areas in the interior, and will even be content with artificial light for a long time. For centuries, it has symbolized happiness, tenacity and unpretentiousness and can withstand even worse conditions, which is why it is called " Domestic happiness ". It can grow to a height of around 60 cm, it has stiff, deep green lanceolate leaves up to half a meter long. Red-brown star-shaped flowers, as the Czech name suggests, sprout from the plant's root above the ground.

Aspidistra comes from Taiwan, where it grows as an undergrowth under trees, so a shady place without direct sun is suitable. It grows relatively slowly and it can take several years to grow a larger plant.

Light

The plant likes diffused light without direct sun and tolerates shady places and artificial lighting very well.

Watering

Let the substrate dry a little before watering again. You can stick your finger in the substrate and if it's dry, water - if not, wait a few days. Overwatering will cause rotting of the roots and the plant.

Humidity

An increase in air humidity benefits the plant, so we can dew.

Propagation

It reproduces by separating the bunches. Due to the atypical structure of the roots, we recommend carefully separating the plant from each other. When planting, do not put the roots too deep.

Common problems

Overwatering: Too much water can cause root rot, yellowing and leaf drop. Dry leaves: Dry air and low humidity will cause the leaves to dry out.

How does DMP delivery work?

All plants and some accessories on our e-shop are sent directly from the grower in Holland. We want them to be at your place as soon as possible and not spend time going around different warehouses and stores. We ship part of our own products marked with the Made in DMP label directly from our warehouse in Prague.
Therefore, it may happen that you will be charged a higher price for shipping, because you have things in the basket both from the grower and from our own production.
If you have products worth CZK 2,000 (For SK 82 EUR) or more in your basket, you will always have FREE shipping!

For some products, such as a book or a physical gift voucher, you can choose the pick-up option in our brick-and-mortar store.

Personal collection is not possible for most goods, because the store does not offer the same range of plants and accessories as in the e-shop. If you are not sure about the choice, stop by in person and together we will choose or order the right one!

Individual shipping prices:

1. DPD

The DPD courier will contact you the day before delivery regarding the exact delivery date. If you want to deliver the shipment to the delivery point , you can make arrangements with the carrier. The price for delivery of plants and selected accessories from NL to the Czech Republic is CZK 149 and to Slovakia EUR 8.
The price for delivery of our products from the warehouse in Prague is CZK 99 within the Czech Republic . Delivery from our warehouse to Slovakia is for the same price - EUR 8.

2. Post office

You can have the selected goods delivered to the delivery point of Zásilkovna in the Czech Republic for 89,- or to the delivery point of Zásilkovna in SK for € 5 . Simply select the delivery method: Zásilkovna * You select the Zásilkovna branch after completing the order.

After creating an order, you can use the map to select a pick-up point.
The shipping company is limited by the size or weight of the package.
If you cannot choose Zásilkovna, you most likely have bulky products in your basket and you need to choose another carrier.

3. Personal collection
