About the plant:
Syngonium Pink Splash "Red Spot" is a climbing plant from the Araceae family . Their home is tropical South and Central America, especially Mexico and Brazil. The greatest diversity of species is in Panama and Costa Rica. In their homeland, they are considered invasive plants. They grow like creepers even in the crowns of other trees, their height can reach 10-20 meters. They form aerial roots and grow very quickly. In its youth, the plant does not need support, but during its life it begins to change its leaves to lobed and create climbing stems that may require support.
Syngonium Pink Splash "Red Spot" is a rare (collectible) type of green-leaved Syngonium with pink variegation, which in places resembles splashes of pink color. Each variegation is unique, the leaves on another plant may be more pink or green.

More about syngonias we are wrote in our article .
The plant needs a lot of light to grow healthy and color its leaves. The plant thrives well in a large amount of bright light and tolerates sunlight well, but avoid direct sunlight during the summer months. The ideal location is the south and west side.
Water in 1-2 weeks, it prefers wetter soil. However, let the upper part of the substrate dry out between waterings. Overwatering could cause rotting of the roots.
It is a tropical plant, so it requires dewing of the leaves.
Stem cuttings or top cuttings ideally in spring. Propagate 15 cm long top cuttings in water, transplant into soil after the roots appear.
Overwatering: Too much water can cause root rot, yellowing or leaf drop. Cool and damp habitat: Root rot and poor growth. Browning of the tips of the leaves: Little irrigation, too low air humidity, calcareous water. Brown spots on leaves: Burn of leaves from direct sunlight. Squirrels, woolly bugs - we deal with them with special sprays.
