About the plant:

Sansevieria , or tenura, is a genus of unpretentious succulent plants. It is one of the hardiest houseplants (and perhaps that is why it is nicknamed mother-in-law's tongue ) native to Africa. The plant is ornamental with its long and hard sword-like leaves, which are characterized by their snake pattern (hence the English name snake plant) . She is among the popular maids because she is almost indestructible.
