About the plant:

Kokodama is a sustainable form of hanging planter made from natural coconut fibers. The plant breathes and grows well in it.

Also known as sedge, this decorative plant boasts narrow, green leaves with cream edges that resemble ocean waves. Its elegant appearance and low maintenance make it an ideal choice for any interior, including offices and homes. Chlorophytum is known for its ability to purify the air and is easily propagated thanks to the small offshoots that grow from the mother plant. Tolerates a variety of light conditions, but thrives best in bright, indirect light.

Light

The plant needs a lot of light to grow healthy and color its leaves. Give the plant plenty of bright light without sunlight that could burn the leaves. The ideal location is the north and east side.

Watering

Water in 1-2 weeks, it prefers wetter soil. However, let the upper part of the substrate dry out between waterings. Overwatering could cause rotting of the roots and yellowing of the leaves.

Humidity

It is a tropical plant, therefore it requires dewing of the leaves and ideally increased air humidity.

Propagation

Stem cuttings, ideally in spring. It is enough to cut the leaf together with the aerial root and let it take root, preferably in water, but it is also possible in soil.

Common problems

Overwatering: Too much water can cause root rot, yellowing and leaf drop. Browning of leaf edges, curling: Cold and draft. Withered leaves, browning of their tips: Too dry air. Brown spots on leaves: Burn of leaves from direct sunlight. Weevils (in case of excess light), worms, aphids, thrips: We deal with special sprays.

We ship live plant orders Monday through Thursday. If we cannot prepare your shipment within these days, we will send it again the following week. We want to avoid plants being left in the depot for long periods of time, which is especially important during the winter months when cold conditions can harm them.

Individual shipping prices:

1. DPD

A DPD courier will contact you the day before delivery with the exact delivery date. If you would like to redirect the shipment to the collection point, you can make arrangements directly with the carrier. In the winter months, however, we strongly do not recommend redirecting to the delivery boxes, as low temperatures can damage the plants. In this case, we cannot be held responsible for the condition of the plants and complaints will not be accepted.

The price of delivery of plants and accessories throughout the Czech Republic is 149 CZK, to Slovakia 8 €.

2. Post office

You can have the selected goods delivered to the delivery point of Zásilkovna in the Czech Republic for CZK 89 or in Slovakia for €5. All you have to do is select the delivery option "Delivery" when ordering. After completing your order, you will be able to use the map to select a specific delivery location.

Keep in mind that the Post Office has restrictions on package dimensions and weight. If you don't see the Post Office option, you probably have bulky products in your cart and you need to choose another carrier. In the winter months, we strongly do not recommend choosing delivery to Z-Boxes due to the risk of the plants dying in the cold. In this case, we are not responsible for the condition of the plants and the claim will not be accepted.

3. Personal collection

You can pick up your order for free in person at the address Křižíkova 55/65, Prague 8. Once your order is ready, we will send you an e-mail with information about the possibility of picking it up. If you do not collect the order within 3 working days , or if you do not inform us of another collection date, it will be automatically cancelled .

4. Express delivery by courier around Prague

5. Z-boxes, Alzaboxes, PPL boxes and others.

In case of payment by cash on delivery, orders for collection boxes are automatically redirected to the nearest collection point.
