Substral Careo spray

Fighting pests on your plant? Substral Careo spray is one of the must-haves for rescuing houseplants. 

The CAREO concentrate acts on the larvae and adults of both chewing and sucking pests such as aphids, thrips, whiteflies, armored scales, scale insects, soft scales, spider mites, leaf miners. The oil in the product also destroys larvae and pest eggs. This gives it both a contact effect and a long-lasting systemic effect on the plant. The active ingredient is absorbed mainly through the leaves and is therefore distributed throughout the plant. It even reaches the plant’s new growth.

In short: the active ingredient kills pests both when they suck sap and when they are hit by the spray.

i.e. (E)-N1-[(6-chloro-3-pyridyl)methyl]-N2-cyano-N1-methylacetamidine

Use:

• OUTDOOR ORNAMENTAL PLANTS (whiteflies, thrips, aphids, spider mites, scale insects (soft scales), armored scales, weevils, sawflies, leaf miners, beetles, caterpillars) / pre-harvest interval (PHI) 0 days / from the first occurrence; repeat the application after 14 days, spray until runoff begins
• GREENHOUSE ORNAMENTAL PLANTS (whiteflies, thrips, aphids, spider mites, scale insects (soft scales), armored scales, weevils, sawflies, leaf miners, beetles, caterpillars) / PHI 0 days / from the first occurrence; repeat the application after 14 days, spray until runoff begins
• HOUSEPLANTS: in apartments, offices and on balconies (whiteflies, thrips, aphids, spider mites, scale insects (soft scales), armored scales, weevils, sawflies, leaf miners, beetles, caterpillars) / PHI 0 days / from the first occurrence; repeat the application after 14 days, spray until runoff begins
• GREENHOUSE PLANTS (peppers, tomatoes, eggplant, lettuce): whiteflies, thrips, aphids, spider mites, scale insects, armored scales, weevils, sawflies, leaf miners, beetles, caterpillars, from the first occurrence, max. 2 applications, repeat the application after 10 to 14 days, spray until runoff begins.
• OUTDOOR PLANTS (potatoes, apple trees, pear trees, plum trees, tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, eggplant): whiteflies, thrips, aphids, spider mites, scale insects, armored scales, weevils, sawflies, leaf miners, beetles, caterpillars, from the first occurrence, max. 2 applications, repeat the application after 10 to 14 days, spray until runoff begins.
• CHERRY: aphids, from the first occurrence, max. 1 application.

Do not apply at temperatures above 25°C or in direct sunlight.

Safety instructions for Substral Careo spray:

• Use:

  • This product is intended to protect plants from pests and diseases. Read the instructions carefully before use and follow the directions on the label.
  • Spray the plants in dry, calm weather, ideally in the morning or evening, to minimize the risk of damaging them.
  • Use the spray only on the recommended plants and at the recommended doses. Exceeding the dosage can damage the plants.

• Maintenance:

  • Always wash your hands and the tools you used thoroughly after use.
  • Keep the product out of reach of children and pets.
  • Wear protective gloves, goggles and, if needed, protective clothing when applying.

• Safety warnings:

  • Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with water and seek medical attention.
  • If swallowed, contact a doctor immediately and show them the product label.
  • Store in a cool, dry place out of reach of children and pets. Keep in the original container to prevent leaks.

• Disposal: Dispose of this product in accordance with local regulations for chemicals. Do not use in natural areas or near bodies of water unless explicitly recommended on the label.
